KKR vs SRH Betting Tips

If you’ve opened any of the best cricket betting apps and managed to claim a free bet, you’re probably looking for a different market to wager on. Our experts scoured the books and have found three tips for the upcoming KKR vs SRH clash.

KKR vs SRH Betting Prediction

We’re backing KKR to beat SRH @ 1.86

  • It really is hard to ignore the terrible form SRH has been in of late; the team has lost four of its last five outings.
  • KKR has struggled too and been producing hit-or-miss performances. However, Kolkata’s clinical victory against the Mumbai Indians in their last outing was a show of strength for sure.
  • T. Natarajan starred for the Sunrisers the last time these two teams met, but he is likely to sit out the game due to injury.
  • Chances are KKR will field the same team that won the game against Mumbai.
CBA Verdict

The odds are so close that it’s obvious the game is an open contest, really, and that it can go either way. That said, now that KKR is out of the race for the playoffs, we reckon they’ll play a lot freely, something that often gets the best out of players on the field. We think a KKR victory is on the cards, party due to their relatively strong batting order and a weakened SRH bowling lineup.

KKR vs SRH Team News

It’s always a good idea to consider which players will actually be taking the field on matchday.

Kolkata Knight Riders

  • We reckon KKR will not tinker with the combination from the last game.

KKR Retained: Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Varun Chakravarthy, Venkatesh Iyer

Kolkata Knight Riders Probable Playing XI

Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Nitish Rana, Shreyas Iyer (c), Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Sheldon Jackson, Pat Cummins, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee, Varun Chakravarthy

Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Washington Sundar and T Natarajan are still nursing injuries, so they’ll sit out in all likelihood.
  • Sean Abbott could probably return to the Playing XI.

SRH Retained: Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Umran Malik

Sunrisers Hyderabad Probable Playing XI

Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, Sean Abbott, Kartik Tyagi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, Jagadeesha Suchith

KKR vs SRH Key Players

When making your betting predictions, IPL stats and knowledge of the key players come in handy. With that said, here are the top performers from both teams we think can single-handedly change the complexion of a game.

Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Pat Cummins

While some are IPL specialists, others like Cummins are outstanding cricketers in any format. Selected as an opening fast bowler with a decent economy of 8.54, Cummins is a big hitter too and is a joint holder for the fastest 50 in the IPL (for his 56 off 14 against MI).

  • Shreyas Iyer

The new KKR skipper is a consistent run-getter, and he has maintained that this season with 336 runs in 12 games at an average of 30.55 (and a decent strike rate just short of 130).

  • Sunil Narine

Narine has been a KKR veteran, and it’s easy to see why. 151 wickets at an economy of 6.61 is no mean feat, and the team management has rightly reposed faith in the Trinidadian’s all-round abilities. This season, Narine has picked up 8 wickets, giving away just 5.23 runs an over. This is unthinkable stuff in T20 cricket.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Kane Williamson

The New Zealander is as much a Kiwi as he’s a Hyderabad-ian, really. 2022 hasn’t been the best season for Kane with the bat, but he’s an impact player and a big score from him could be just a knock away. You can never discount a capable player like him.

  • Nicholas Pooran

This West Indian is a powerful and explosive batsman capable of hitting a very long ball. Pooran averages a monstrous 52.20 this season with a strike rate of 147.46, and he is electrifying on the field.

  • Umran Malik

The young quick from Srinagar has only played 14 matches in the IPL overall, but what an impact he’s had in 2022! In 11 matches, Malik has 15 wickets to his name (including 5/25 against Gujarat Titans) at a strike rate of 16. Yes, he will want to bring down his economy (9.10), but that’s a tradeoff in T20 cricket you’d have to be willing to accept.
