  • The inaugural season will involve six teams: MI New York, Los Angeles Knight Riders, Texas Super Kings, Seattle Orcas, Washington Freedom, and San Francisco Unicorns. The first four teams are owned by IPL franchises.
  • Each franchise is allowed to sign nine overseas players, with six of them allowed in the Playing XI.
  • The first season will be played across two venues: Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas, and Church Street Park Stadium in Morrisville, North Carolina.
  • It will commence with a single-header group stage followed by a knockout stage; a total of 19 matches will be played.
  • The structure is as follows: Round robin stage (here, each team plays against other teams once, total 15 games will be played in this stage) followed by Qualifier (1st-placed team vs 2nd) followed by Eliminator (3rd-placed team vs 4th) followed by Challenger (loser of qualifier vs winner of eliminator) followed by the Final (winner of qualifier vs winner of challenger).
