KKR vs GT Betting Predictions

These below-mentioned KKR vs GT betting predictions should help you make an informed decision when you play with some of the best IPL online betting sites.

  • KKR and GT have faced each other twice in the IPL, with both teams winning one game apiece. In the first game between these two teams this season, KKR pulled off a magical victory riding on Rinku Singh's heroics.
  • Although KKR has the home advantage, the Eden Gardens wicket is a batter's paradise. And that is where the Gujarat Titans have the upper hand, boasting some of the top batters in their ranks.
  • That said, KKR will take heart from their recent victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy. Jason Roy, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, and Nitish Rana have been doing their bit, whereas Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma have been mighty impressive in the spin department.
  • KKR's concerns at this point will be the poor form of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. The former, while he has been unimpressive with the bat, bowled a tight spell vs. RCB this past Wednesday, and that should provide KKR with another option in the bowling department.
  • And to sum up, KKR has won one and lost four of their last five games, while GT has won three in as many matches.
CBA PREDICTS

While KKR will undoubtedly put up a tough fight, we reckon the Titans will prevail in this contest at the Eden Gardens. The Rashid Khan-led outfit is in much better shape overall, batting- and bowling-wise. In recent times, the Eden Gardens wicket has been made a belter of a track for batters to make merry on, and this is where the KKR bowlers will likely struggle, with the possible exceptions of Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma.

However, two spinners alone can't save the day for the Knights, and if their batters fail to put runs on the board, it could be curtains real quick for the men in purple.

KKR vs GT Team News

Kolkata Knight Riders

  • KKR is sitting seventh on the IPL points table with three wins and five losses.
  • The team will be pinning its hopes on Jason Roy, Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Venky Iyer, Nitish Rana, and Suyash Sharma. However, they will have to better utilise the powerplay overs.
  • We don’t expect any changes in the KKR playing XI; they will likely field the same team that bagged a crucial victory against RCB on Wednesday.
KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS PROBABLE XI

Jason Roy, Venkatesh Iyer, N Jagadeesan (wk), Nitish Rana (C), Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, David Weise, Suyash Sharma (IP), Shardul Thakur

Gujarat Titans

  • The Gujarat Titans have won two back-to-back matches (beating LSG by 7 runs and then MI by 55 runs). They are currently sitting second on the points table with five wins and two losses so far.
  • There are a few concerns in the GT dressing room as well, the most urgent being the poor batting form of their skipper, Hardik Pandya.
  • That said, their playing XI will likely be the same as their last game against MI.
GUJARAT TITANS PROBABLE XI

Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (C), Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, Mohit Sharma, Joshua Little (IP)

KKR vs GT Key Players

Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy, wrecker-in-chief against RCB, has got 13 wickets in eight games so far, and he is bowling at an economy of 8.05, which is more than decent in the IPL, considering almost all the tracks are tailor made for batting. The KKR mystery spinner will be the litmus test for the Titans batters.

  • Nitish Rana

The KKR skipper is on a good run personally. He has been contributing in almost every game, and most recently, smashed a superb 48 off just 21 balls against RCB. How astute Nitish Rana is as a captain will be up for debate, but he can definitely make a mark on a game when he gets going. Plus, he’s been striking at 152.66, which is good news for the KKR dressing room.

  • Jason Roy

With 160 runs in three games at an average of 53.33 and a strike rate of 170.21, Jason Roy has announced his arrival in style! He was the principal architect of KKR’s victory vs. RCB at the Chinnaswamy, and he will surely relish another batting-friendly wicket that is the Eden Gardens.

Gujarat Titans

  • Noor Ahmad

The 18-year-old Afghan cricketer has played just three games so far this season, and he has surely impressed many. With six wickets under his belt, Noor Ahmad’s left-arm chinaman will be the threat KKR’s batters will look out for at the Eden Gardens. Moreover, Ahmad has been taking a wicket every 10 balls and has an economy of just a touch over 8. Impressive.

  • Rashid Khan

What can you say about the wily Afghan! Rashid has 14 wickets to his name in seven games at a terrific bowling strike rate of 12. Which means he’s been taking a wicket every two overs. KKR batsmen better watch out for him, as he has the ability to choke the flow of runs and turn a match on its head in a spate of a few balls.

  • Shubman Gill

The upcoming star is in the best form of his life. He is one of the top contenders for the Orange Cap and has steadily risen through the ranks. Gill has amassed 284 runs in the seven games this season (with three 50s) at an average of 40.57 and a strike rate of 142.71. KKR will want Shubman’s wicket early.
