DC vs SRH Betting Tips

DC vs SRH Betting Prediction

We’re backing SRH to win the match @ 1.96

  • Both these teams have plenty to play for in this match, but the Sunrisers Hyderabad come into the contest in better form. They have won five of their nine games, while Delhi Capitals have four wins from their nine.
  • SRH look to have a more settled side, and although they have lost their last two matches, they should have beaten Gujarat Titans before running into a good version of Chennai Super Kings.
  • Delhi Capitals have lost two of their last three matches and aren’t quite finishing the job off.
  • Rovman Powell has scored 36, 33*, and 35 in his last three innings and is belting the ball over the ropes at will now. If there is a weakness for SRH, it comes when they are bowling at the end of the innings, which is when Powell is doing his best work. The odds of 13.00 on him to top score for the Delhi Capitals seems unjustified., and that's where one can cash on.
  • T Natarajan is the top bowler for the SRH this season with 17 wickets, but Umran Malik is only two behind with 15 scalps. He has already 2/27 and 1/13 on this ground this season, and the extra pace in the pitch makes him very hard to score off.
CBA Verdict

SRH will clinch this one and get back to winning ways. The last games were hiccups, really, given that the team had prior to that won five games in a row, which is no mean feat. While Delhi Capitals are no pushover, you get the feeling that the team is a little too reliant on the top order.

DC vs SRH Team News

Delhi Capitals

  • Anrich Nortje is fit for selection in this match but including him would upset their overseas balance so he might need to watch on from the dugout once again.
  • Chetan Sakariya was expensive in the defeat to the Lucknow Super Giants, so there could be a recall for Khaleel Ahmed against his former team.

Delhi Capitals Retained: Anrich Nortje, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel

Delhi Capitals Probable Playing XI

Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rovman Powell, Rishabh Pant (c), Lalit Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed, Mustafizur Rehman, Axar Patel

Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Washington Sundar returned in the game against the Chennai Super Kings and he is expected to be fit for this contest as well.
  • Marco Jansen has just started to become a little too expensive with the ball, so the SRH thinktank might believe now is the time to replace him with Sean Abbott.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Retained: Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Umran Malik

Sunrisers Hyderabad Probable Playing XI

Abishek Sharma, Kane Williamson, Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Sean Abott/Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natarajan, Umran Malik

DC vs SRH Key Players

Delhi Capitals

  • David Warner

Despite missing the opening two matches of the season, David Warner is already the leading Delhi Capitals run scorer this term with 264 runs at an average of 44. He’ll be out to prove a point against his former employers.

  • Rovman Powell

The big-hitting West Indian all-rounder has found his form in the last three matches. He has 12 sixes from his bat in the competition and has the ability to turn an average score into a good one at the end of the innings.

  • Kuldeep Yadav

He was a little expensive with the ball against the Chennai Super Kings, but he remains the leading Delhi Capitals wicket taker with 17 scalps (at a strike rate of 11.53).

Sunrisers Hyderabad

  • Nicholas Pooran

The Sunrisers Hyderabad line up isn’t one which puts fear into the opposition, but Nicholas Pooran is one player who can. He comes into this match off the back of a 50 in the last game.

  • T Natarajan

The classy death bowler is the top wicket taker for SRH this season with 17 scalps. He also has an economy rate of 8.65, which is excellent considering he’s being utilised as a death bowler primarily.

  • Umran Malik

One of the fastest bowlers in the competition is surely destined for national honours soon. The highlight of his 15 wickets was his 5/25 against the Gujarat Titans a couple of games ago.
