DC vs RCB Betting Prediction

For this match, we’re backing RCB to win @ 1.96 on 1xBet.

  • The Wankhede pitch throws up the dew effect in full swing, and is widely considered to favour batsmen. Delhi Capitals will be playing on this pitch for the first time this season, while RCB has played and won one match in this stadium by successfully chasing a 170 runs target set by Rajasthan Royals.
  • This match is the typical clash among the equals as both sides are fairly positioned to take on one another. We expect this match to throw up surprises until the last ball, throwing up plenty of betting opportunities for punters.
  • RCB has seen striking performances from Anuj Rawat and Wanindu Hasaranga, with old-timers like Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell back in shape.
  • David Warner has joined the DC squad, and we expect the match to only get more exciting with his powerful knocks.
  • The differentiating factor lies in the bowling department, where RCB emerges stronger largely because of Harshal Patel.
CBA VERDICT

Our take is on RCB winning this match. While both teams have performed equally well in the season so far, we believe RCB’s pace attack along with the strength of its top batting order, overshadows what DC brings to the field.

DC vs RCB Team News

Delhi Capitals

  • DC will head into the match with an energised squad that won the last match against KKR by a wide margin of 44 runs after setting a target of 216 runs.
  • DC faces no injury issues at the moment, and the captain is expected to play the same squad as in the last match.
  • DC saw two players joining the squad in the last two matches. The explosive opener, David Warner, and the South-African pacer Anrich Nortje.
  • Warner scored an impressive 61 runs off 45 balls alongside Prithvi Shaw, who scored 51 runs off just 29 balls.
  • Kuldeep Yadav has been performing well in the spinning department, and is consistent with his wickets.

Delhi Capitals retained: Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Axar Patel, Anrich Nortje.

DELHI CAPITALS PROBABLE PLAYING XI

Rishabh Pant (c), Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Khaleel Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

  • RCB has won three out of the last five matches, and stands sixth on the points table, just above DC.
  • Harshal Patel, who did not play in the last match, is expected to return as he has been released from quarantine. His absence was evident in the last match against CSK, as other bowlers struggled to contain runs. However, Hasaranga showed conviction and took two important wickets of Uthappa and Jadeja.
  • The Aussie pacer, Josh Hazlewood, is also fit to play, and his addition will further strengthen RCB’s pace attack.
  • The team benefits from a strong top and middle batting order, as the middle order is seen to score decent runs whenever the top fails to perform, like in the last match against CSK.
  • Even though RCB lost that match against CSK, the batting order did not undergo a total collapse after the top order failed to perform, which is a good sign as the games will only get tougher further into the league and every batsman will be expected to contribute their bit.

RCB retained: Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Mohammad Siraj.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE PROBABLE PLAYING XI

Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akash Deep, Mohammad Siraj.

DC vs RCB Key Players

Delhi Capitals Key Players

  • David Waner – The Aussie hard-hitter has joined the squad, and for good. He played a vital inning in the last match where he scored 61 runs, to help set DC a high target score of 216 runs.
  • Prithvi Shaw – Shaw has proven to be a star opener for DC, using his clean strokes to churn up quick runs. He can deftly handle multiple bowling styles, and scored a commendable 51 runs off 29 balls (7x4s), (2x6s) in the last match, and 61 runs off 34 balls (9x4s, 2x6s) in the match before that.
  • Kuldeep Yadav – DC faced the challenge of a weak spinning attack at the beginning of the season, but Kuldeep Yadav has significantly overcome that challenge. The right-arm wrist spinner leaks relatively fewer runs and is the highest wicket-taker in the team, with ten wickets to his credit.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Key Players

  • Faf du Plessis – Plessis has beautifully risen to the occasion of leading RCB, but has been a bit weak on the batting front lately. We see this as a temporary dip, and expect to see the Black Cap back in form now that the players seem to be comfortable around their new skipper.
  • Virat Kohli – While we are yet to see Kohli get back to his original form and knock runs after runs across the boundary, he has shown that he still has the mojo with his 48 runs off 36 balls against MI.
  • Wanindu Hasaranga – The young lad from Sri Lanka has proven quite the challenger for even seasoned batsmen, with his aggressive legbreak bowling abilities. He has been a key part of RCB’s spin attack, and has consistently taken the most wickets for the team (10 wickets).
