Bigg Boss betting has become a very popular part of watching the show for many viewers, upping the fun factor in exactly the same way as live streaming a cricket match you would've placed a wager on. We've listed some of the Bigg Boss betting markets that have sprung up around the show, ones that can also be found on other reality TV betting shows.

Outright Winner of Bigg Boss 14

Of course, the whole point of the show is to find a winner. This opens up the most obvious Bigg Boss betting market: predicting the winning contestant. If your pick is the last to leave the house, your bet is a winner!

Recommended betting site for Outright Winner: 10CRIC

First Eviction in Bigg Boss 14

On the other hand, you can also bet on the first person to leave the house. Watching the show will help you figure out which contestant is living on borrowed time and will most likely be the first to leave. This makes it easier to place a winning bet, as well-researched wagers based on betting tips will always trump lucky punts in the long run.

Next Eviction in Bigg Boss 14

With weekly evictions, punters can predict which player is next for the chop. As Bigg Boss progresses, viewers will be able to see which housemates are behaving themselves, and which ones are annoying others or playing a tactical game. Such information can be used to formulate a successful bet.

Recommended betting site for Next Eviction: 1xBet

Gender of the Winner

You can also split the winner's bet by gender. All you need to work out is whether the eventual winner will be a man or a woman. If you can't quite pinpoint the winner, you might be able to figure out which gender the winner will be.

Top Male & Female

Another way of looking at the market is to pick the highest finishing man or the contestant to emerge victorious among their own sex. Luckily for us, Big Boss betting sites allow you to wager on which man or woman will finish the highest among their fellow housemates of the same gender.

Request a Bigg Boss Bet

Have an idea for the perfect Bigg Boss bet but can’t find it anywhere? Then requesting a bet might be able to help you out! There are many online bookmakers that offer request-a-bet services, and will also accept wagering inquiries on Bigg Boss. Some ideas include couples hooking up, arguing, walking out, captain appointments, and what punishments Bigg Boss is planning to give the contestants should such a measure be warranted.

Television Format for Bigg Boss 14

Bigg Boss takes a number of housemates, usually celebrities and one non-celebrity, and locks them in a house for a certain amount of time, during which time they're monitored. Housemates nominate two of their peers per week to be evicted, with the nominee’s fate lying in the public’s hand. When there are only a few people remaining, the public vote is used to find a winner.

Filming originally took place in Lonavala, Pune district of Maharashtra, before relocating to ND Studios in Karjat for Season 5 only. The two bedroom house is fully furnished, including a garden, swimming pool, and gym, as well as a special Confession Room used by housemates to share their feelings, make nominations, or generally talk to Bigg Boss. Total isolation from the outside world means the house has no TV, WiFi, telephones, clocks, and pens and paper.

Strangely, the rules have never been fully published. What we do know is that housemates are forbidden to speak in any other language than Hindi, and are not allowed to interfere with any electronic equipment that may be in the house. Contestants cannot leave the house at any time without permission, sleep during the day, or debate the nomination process with their fellow housemates.

The show is primarily broadcast on Colors TV under three different formats on different days: a highlights programme and live eviction show on Friday, an eviction interview on the Saturday, and a clip show airing unseen footage on Sunday.

History of Bigg Boss

Bigg Boss is a reality show TV based on the original Dutch Big Brother created by John de Mol. The first season was broadcast on Sony TV, before switching to Colors TV. The Hindi language adaptation of the European original is also a production of the same Endemol Shine Group. Bigg Boss first aired in 2006, and was hosted by the actor Arshad Warsi. Shilpa Shetty, who had taken part in the United Kingdom’s edition of Big Brother, replaced Warsi after one season.

Once the show proved to be popular, it was adapted into other languages, including Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu Marathi. In 2014, the show was merged with its spin-off champions edition to create Bigg Boss Halla Bol. The 14th season was delayed for a whole month because of extremely heavy rain in the area of Mumbai.

Bigg Boss 1

Bigg Boss 1 was the inaugural series of the show, and ran from 3 November 2006 to 26 January 2007, lasting a total of 86 days, after which Rahul Roy was crowned the winner and Carol Gracias the runner-up. Memorable moments for the series include non-celebrity Ragini Shetty posing for other housemates as a bona fide celebrity, one housemate, Salil, being forced to leave the house to face criminal charges, and another, Kashmira, “haunting” her roommates.

Bigg Boss 2

The second series began broadcasting on 21 August 2008 and lasted for 98 days. Shilpa Shetty took up the host role, while 14 people entered the Bigg Boss house. After only two days, British contestant Jade Goody was forced to withdraw, having sadly been diagnosed with cancer. Elsewhere, Rahul, Raja Choudhary, Zulfi Sayed, and Ashutosh Kaushik all tried to escape by climbing over the garden wall, convinced that they weren’t getting enough food. Kaushik would later win the series, with Raja Chaudhary coming second.

Bigg Boss 3

In Bigg Boss 3, Amitabh Bachchan was the host for the show, which began its broadcast on 4 October 2009 and finished 84 days later on 26 December 2009. The winner of the show that year was Vindu Dara Singh, with Pravesh Rana finishing as the first runner-up, and Poonam Dhillon declared the second runner-up.

Bigg Boss 4

Salman Khan was the host for the 96-day Bigg Boss 4, the 2010 edition of the show. The show’s first episode went live on 3 October 2010 and lasted for 14 weeks, finally coming to an end on 8 January 2011. TV actress Shweta Tiwari was the winner, with the Great Khali coming next. Bigg Boss 4 was, at the time, the highest-rated season, with 6.2 million tuning in for the final. This was quite likely down to Pamela Anderson’s expensive appearance.

Bigg Boss 5

For Bigg Boss 5, actor Sanjay Dutt joined Salman Khan as the host, with the show itself running from 2 October 2011 to 7 January 2012. Of the 14 entrants, it was television soap actress Juhi Parmar who was declared the winner, after she narrowly beat Mahek Chahal. Filming took place in Karjat in Maharashtra.

Bigg Boss 6

Urvashi Dholakia was the winner of the 6th series, with Imam Siddiqui winning first place, and Sana Khan finishing as second runner-up, in a series hosted by Salman Khan once again. A season that will forever be remembered for the arguments that took place, Bigg Boss 6 was supposed to be the year the show cleaned up for a family audience. Somebody forgot to tell Imam and Salman!

Bigg Boss 7

Salman Khan was back in the hot seat for the fourth time in Bigg Boss 7, which ran from 15 September 2013 till 28 December 2013. Spanning a longer time period than its predecessor, Bigg Boss 7 lasted for 15 weeks, and was won by model and actress Gauahar Khan, with Tanishaa Mukerji, Ajaz Khan, and Sangram Singh finishing as the three runners-up. In a twist to the formula, housemates were, at leasy in the beginning, separated into differing halves of the house, named ‘Heaven' and ‘Hell'. As you can guess, living conditions differed widely. Those living in Heaven were able to enjoy a swimming pool, while those dwelling in Hell didn’t even have running water!

Bigg Boss 8

For the eighth series, Bigg Boss 8 was merged with Bigg Boss Hala Bol, a show during which five previous winners competed inside the house. The show first aired on 21 September 2014 and concluded on 3 January 2015, after which a spin-off mega show took place, with the five remaining house mates remaining in the house to face off against five previous former champions. This mega show was presented by Farah Kahn, who got to announce Gautam Gulati as that year’s winner.

Bigg Boss 9

Stylised as ‘Double Trouble‘, Bigg Boss 9 premiered on 11 October 2015 and had Salman Khan back to host the show. This year’s theme, inspired by Big Brother Africa, saw housemates paired with others in order to create friction between them. The series was notable for its various heated moments and the sudden exit of Keith Sequeira, who cited personal reasons for her departure. Prince Narula was later named the winner of Bigg Boss Season 9, with Rishabh Sinha declared the runner-up.

Bigg Boss 10

The 10th season of Bigg Boss went live on 6 October 2016 and ran till 29 January 2017. Manveer Gurjar emerged as the new Bigg Boss winner, forcing Bani J into second place. Indiawale were first introduced in this series, as was on-demand TV, following the show’s switch to an OTT streaming platform called Voot.

Bigg Boss 11

Bigg Boss 11 was the eleventh season of Bigg Boss, premiering on 1 October 2017 until 14 January 2018. The show saw Shilpa Shinde crowned that year’s winner, with Hina Khan in second place in a controversial result. To this day, many still disagree with the result, and believe that the first and second places should have been be reversed.

Bigg Boss 12

On 16 September 2018, Bigg Boss 12 got underway, running for 105 days until 30 December 2018. The show, hosted by Salman Khan, started that year with Bigg Night, and by the end of its run, Dipika Kakar had been announced as the winner, with Shanthakumaran Sreesanth as the runner-up. That year’s theme was Vichitra Jodis, or Strange Pairs, not too dissimilar to 2015’s Double Trouble.

Bigg Boss 13

Bigg Boss 13, which was also called Bigg Boss Tedah, ran from 29 September 2019 and was due to end in January. However, it proved to be far more popular than its producers had originally imagined, and was extended by five weeks. In the end, it became not only the longest ever series, but also its most successful. When it finally came to an end on 15 February 2020, Sidharth Shukla was declared to be the winner, with Asim Riaz as the runner-up.

CricketBettingAdvice Final Say

Based on Big Brother, which was originally broadcast in the Netherlands, Bigg Boss Hindi is a reality TV show currently shown on Colors TV. Even after 14 seasons, people are still interested in the series, which follows celebrities and civilians locked away in a house and recorded 24/7. Since the majority of Big Boss is determined by public vote, Bigg Boss betting (and reality TV betting more generally) has grown alongside the (as yet) undiminished interest in the show.
