Serie A - Outright Winner Odds 2020/21
Serie A 2020/21 – Tips & Predictions
The bookies have paid out on Juventus to emerge Serie A champions for the last nine years. As such, Juventus have had little to contend with in the way of competition for the scudetto (meaning “little shield”) title.
At the start of the last season, Napoli, Inter Milan, and Lazio were touted as potential title challengers, standing between the scudetto and the Turin outfit. However, Juventus did just enough to get their hands on a 36th scudetto.
Nothing has changed this season. The chasing pack are expected to push favourites Juventus and Inter Milan for the title. Andrea Pirlo’s men are priced at 2.75 (7/4) by Betway to retain their title. Inter, on the other hand, represent good value with Serie A betting odds of 3.75 (11/4) to win the title.

Serie A Outright Winner Betting
Rather than betting on the outcome of a single game, event, or a combination of games (known as an accumulator), placing a bet on the outright winner of the Serie A is an easy and hassle-free betting option, especially for new punters. All you have to do is to wager on the overall winner of the Serie A. Juventus are the defending champions, and have won nine consecutive titles. Other teams are closing in; however, Juventus remain the favourites, so a punt in their favour may just bring you some great rewards.

Serie A To Be Relegated Betting
With this, you'll be placing a bet on a team to lose their top-flight status at the end of the season, when three teams are relegated from the Serie A. Predicting this is far more difficult than picking an outright winner. Also note that some bookies offer markets on teams to avoid relegation, so it's worth trying if you want more control over your bet.
Best betting site for To Be Relegated Betting: 22bet
Serie A Top Goalscorer Betting
Placing a bet on this market requires backing an individual player rather than a team, so if you don’t want to support any specific team, you should definitely consider this option. It's simply backing a player you think will outscore other players, usually a forward who is reputed for scoring goals. You should consider these factors before placing your bet:
- How well do their teams create chances? If they play for a team that creates a lot of chances, there’s a likelihood of increased goal scoring.
- Are they reputed for goal scoring? Players who score a lot of goals are always in the running for the top goalscorer award.
- Are they the designated penalty specialist for their team? If they take penalties for teams, it will compliment their efforts from open play.

Serie A Player of the Year Betting
This is similar to the Top Goalscorer bet, only you'll be backing a player that is likely to emerge as the best player at the end of the season. Picking a player that will stand out from his peers can be tricky, considering the calibre of players in the Serie A. Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, Zlatan Ibrahimović, and Dries Mertens are a few of the players you should consider wagering on for Serie A betting.

Serie A – Tournament Structure
Starting in 1939, the Italian Serie A has consistently proven itself to be one of the most competitive and glamorous football leagues in the world. Teams from the Serie A have won the UEFA Champions 12 times, with AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter Milan accounting for all the continental titles.
The league consists of 20 teams in total, which compete with each other twice. They play on a home and away basis in a round-robin format during a single season, which usually lasts about 10 months. Matches are played mostly on weekends, with a few on weekdays. A typical weekend for Serie A fixtures starts from Saturday through Sunday and Monday. Intermittently, there are midweek fixtures during a season, usually fixed on Wednesdays and a few on Thursdays.
The season is divided into two halves. The first half sees teams square up against each other once, bringing the total number of games played by each team to 19. In the second half, the teams play each other once again in similar order, albeit with a reversed home and away system, making the total number of matches played by each team 38.
Three points are awarded for a win, one is earned for a draw, while none are given for a defeat. All points won by teams are entered into a league table to determine where each of the 20 competing teams finishes on the log. If two teams are tied on the same number of points, the head-to-head record between the two teams comes into play. Here, the number of points accrued in the matches involving the two teams are used to separate them.
If they are still tied after the head-to-head record, the overall goal difference from all games and the number of goals scored is used. The team with the highest number of points is declared the winner of the Serie A.
Italy has four UEFA Champions League slots, which are available to the top placed team, along with three other teams that make up the top four. The teams in 5th and 6th position with the winners of the Coppa Italia qualify for Europe’s second-tier competition, the UEFA Europa League. If the winner of the cup competition also places within the top four positions, the 7th-placed team on the table will be eligible to participate and be a part of the Europa League.
When the season finishes, the lowest-placed teams on the final table are relegated to the second tier, the Serie B. These teams are then replaced by the top three teams from the Serie B. Inter Milan are the only team to have featured in every Serie A season.
Serie A – History
The Serie A started in 1898 as a regional competition – quite different from La Liga. In 1929, teams from all over the country were allowed to participate following a restructuring of the competition, which gave birth to the country format used now.
Juventus tops the list of Serie A winners with 36 titles, which is two more scudetti than their nearest challengers, AC Milan and Inter Milan, who both have 18 titles. As a mark of respect, the defending champions are allowed to infuse a representation of the Italian tricolour on their kit in the next season. For every ten league titles, a team is allowed to show a golden star on top of the club badge. Juventus has 3 stars, while AC Milan and Inter are tied on 1 each.
Lega Calcio was responsible for the organisation of the league until the 2010 season, before Lega Serie A took over.
