ICC World Cup Super League Betting Predictions, Tips and Strategies

ICC World Cup Super League Betting Predictions

The 2020-22 edition of the league will take place over a period of 21 months; longevity is key to succeeding in the league. Countries like India, England and Australia have squads that can survive the test of time, and hence, they are favourite to take the top 3 spots in the league.

Of the three countries, Australia have the toughest run of fixtures while England have the easiest. New Zealand and South Africa are likely to complete the top 5, while Pakistan should stake claim to a qualifying spot as well.

New Zealand and West Indies will not face England and South Africa. This gives both countries an edge in the quest of finishing in the top 8 spots in the league. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka will need to fight tooth and nail in order to cement a spot in the top 8.

Afghanistan will not face England, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies and will have to play out of their skin in order to snatch a qualifying spot from the likes of West Indies and Pakistan.

Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Ireland are more likely than not to finish in the bottom 3 of the league.

ICC World Cup Super League Betting Tips and Strategies

Several series will take place throughout the ICC World Cup Super League. Naturally, some series will attract a larger number of punters. Australia are set to take on England on English soil in September, 2020, while India will travel to Australia in January, 2021.

New Zealand will play against Australia on Australian soil in January, 2021. 13 countries are taking part in the 2020-22 edition of the league and you should conduct extensive research before placing a bet.

The league is set to take place over a period of two years, but a lot can change over time. Players can retire or lose form and new superstars could emerge on the scene. You should follow the latest cricketing updates and keep an eye on injury news, team news, team form, player form, player records, head-to-head records, past match records and past series records.

Minnows like Netherlands, Zimbabwe and Ireland are lesser known in the world of cricket. Placing bets on series involving these countries could lead to high gains. You should place calculated bets when punting on series involving these countries.

For example, if India are playing against Zimbabwe, placing a To Win the Match bet on India makes the most sense. You could also place A Fifty to be Scored in the Match bet and A Hundred to be Scored in the Match bet given India’s power-packed batting line-up.

You could also place a Match Handicap bet and a Most Match Sixes bet.

If two heavyweights are playing a series, carefully assess both countries and place bets based on form, history and the latest news. Pitch and weather conditions and home advantage play a key role in deciding the outcome of a match.

For example, if India are playing against England at home, India start the series as favourites. Similarly, if England are playing against India at home, England start the series as favourites. While it may be difficult to predict the outcome of such matches and series, you could place in-play bets according to how the match progresses.

You could also place bets like A Fifty to be Scored in the Match, Top Team Batsman, Top Team Bowler and Most Match Sixes.

On this note, you should live stream matches at all times. Live streaming a match will help you place smart in-play bets. You can analyse the flow of a match and punt in due accordance. 10cric and 1xBet are the best cricket betting sites for the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

ICC World Cup Super League Latest News

The 2020-22 edition of the league was initially scheduled to commence in May, 2020 but several series were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April  2020 the ICC announced that it would assess and plan the future of the league once a full assessment of the impact of the pandemic on cricket was carried out.

The Ireland tour of England in 2020 kickstarted the league emphatically as England ran out winners by a margin of 2-1. The ODI series took place from the 30th of July to the 4th of August, 2020.

The 3rd ODI of the series was a special affair as Ireland chased down a stiff target of 329 off the penultimate ball of their innings. Paul Stirling was declared Player of the Match for scoring a swashbuckling 142 runs off just 128 deliveries.

Ireland’s team for the final match of the series was composed of several young players and had an average age of just 26 years. If Ireland continue to perform the way they did in the 3rd ODI of the series, they could end up taking points off countries like Netherlands, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and West Indies.

Before the start of the league, the ICC announced that front-foot no-balls will be monitored and called by TV umpires. Each country will be given 2 Decision Review System (DRS) calls per innings.

Zimbabwe and Netherlands will start off their league campaigns in the Netherlands tour of Zimbabwe, 2020. The series is set to take place from the 9th of September to the 13th of September, 2020. Zimbabwe are favourite to win the series and will hope to add 30 points to their league tally, come the end of the series.
